about

One of my first "funny" songs that got traction. Inspired by a story a colleague told to me. We were both waiting for our flights home from a business trip when heavy weather moved into New England. My flight home to Boston was cancelled, but they called to board his flight to Providence. I joked "see you Monday, I hope." I DID see him on Monday, but he told me that the turbulence was so bad that a stewardess hit the ceiling and the toilets overflowed. The song thus was written as a virtual passing of my life before my eyes. I've replaced the version that was originally on this CD with the better live version from the Shaker Chair CD release show.
